Autumn Recycle Circle
The Autumn Recycle Circle breezed in bringing tons of donations and a few new friends
Recycle Circle was a blast, again. I teamed up with Mary Beth Yount of Brookline Blvd. UP Church. We had a big space to spread out that was especially helpful with all the pre-k kiddos running about. We ate delicious snacks potluck style. The kids played. Moms relaxed. (I even scored a couple cool t-shirts, a sweater and a funky long sleeve snap-button shirt.) We had a few new faces, too, which is always a good thing.
It was overwhelming to be among all of the donations. And, in the end, the Brookline Blvd. Church and Angel’s Place were benefit to a wide variety of items ranging from brand new baby onsies to a like-new glider/rocking chair and matching ottoman. It was exciting to see all of the goods go to great people who will be able to put them to proper use and not have to pay a dime. It was recycling at it’s finest.
I’m currently looking for additional charities to which we’d donate. If you know of any Pittsburgh area locations that could benefit from clothing for the whole family, books, toys, kids gear etc. please contact me at juliet@earthmother.org. Also, if you are interested in creating a Recycle Circle in your own area, I’d be glad to give you some advice on partnering and such. Contact me at the above e-mail address.
