If you’re in the Washington DC area, check out vegetate. It’s a phenomenal dining experience. The meal was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. It’s so awesome to be able to go out to eat and enjoy carefully crafted delectables.  Not to mention the atmosphere is beautiful.

With the season now in full swing, my family has rediscovered an old favorite: Fresh autumn apples (we like gala) dipped in creamy natural peanut butter. Be sure to choose organic apples as they’re among the produce with the highest level of pesticide use and residue. Providing that allergies are not an issue, peanut butter is a nice hearty, nutritious alternative to dipping in that other common apple-companion: melted caramel.
